Install Aider

Set your model provider’s API key in Aider or its environment, as you do today.
Open it on the canvas
⌘-click the canvas and pick Aider. Every window you open after that starts signed in.
Worth knowing.
- Aider asks you to confirm each shell command, including canvas ones.
- An image a canvas tool returns has to be added with
/addbefore the model sees it.
Questions.
Can I run multiple Aider sessions at once?
Yes. Each window runs its own aider in a real terminal, so open as many as your plan allows, side by side or in separate workspaces, next to any other agent.
Does Starkomand change my Aider configuration?
No. The policy file is read with --read from Starkomand’s own state folder; your .aider.conf.yml is untouched.
Do I need an API key for Aider?
Starkomand never asks for one. Set your model provider’s API key in Aider or its environment, as you do today. Your plan and usage stay with the provider; Starkomand does not resell tokens.
