Hand GitHub issues to your agents.

Pull open issues onto the canvas as notes and drop one on an agent window to hand it the work. Your pull requests sit on a flight board beside the agents writing them, with CI and review state on every row.

Felix’s Claude Code and Nora’s Codex windows beside the flight board, which counts one pull request needing you, one to review and one approved, above an activity board of thirteen weeks of GitHub contributions.

GitHub on the canvas.

  • Assign by dropping

Open GitHub issues from the launch menu or ⌘K and place them as notes. Drop one on an agent window and the agent reads the issue and its comments with gh issue view in its own shell.

  • Pick the job first

A note goes out as Plan the work, Implement a task, Investigate a bug, Review changes or QA a feature, so the agent knows how far to take it.

  • The note tracks the work

An assigned note clips to its window and follows it, reading queued, working, needs you, review or done.

  • No agent free? Start one

A note’s assign menu offers New agent: it launches an agent CLI you have installed and hands it the ticket as soon as the window is up.

  • Pull requests on a flight board

Your open pull requests and review requests across repositories, sorted into needs you, to review, approved, in review, drafts and landed. Each row shows CI, open review threads and the agent window checked out on its branch.

  • Contributions beside agent turns

The activity board draws thirteen weeks of your GitHub contributions next to the turns your agents finished.

How it connects.

What Starkomand reads, keeps and needs for GitHub.

Sign-in The GitHub CLI’s login, in one clickOr paste a personal access token with read access to your repositories.
Token Kept by the local server onlyA pasted token lives in a file only your user can read. A gh login is borrowed again at each start, so gh auth logout disconnects Starkomand too.
Reads Your pull requests, review requests and open issues that involve youA GraphQL sweep of api.github.com every three minutes, with CI checks, review threads and contributions.
Writes NothingStarkomand never comments, labels or merges. Agents change GitHub only with their own tools, signed in as you.
Repositories All of them, or chosen owners and repos per workspace
Agents need gh signed in on your MacAn assigned issue is read with gh issue view, so its full body never travels through the prompt.

Set up in a minute.

  1. Sign in to GitHub

Install the GitHub CLI and run gh auth login. A pasted token works too.

  2. Connect the canvas

⌘-click the canvas, add the Flight board from Widgets and choose Connect with the GitHub CLI.

  3. Hand out an issue

⌘-click again and pick GitHub issues, place a note, choose its scope and drop it on an agent window.

Worth knowing.

  • The issue list holds open issues that involve you (yours, assigned to you or mentioning you), not every issue in a repository.
  • Starkomand talks to github.com only; GitHub Enterprise Server is not supported.
  • Each list holds up to fifty items: your open pull requests, review requests, pull requests merged in the last three days, and issues.

Questions.

Can I assign a GitHub issue to Claude Code?

Yes. Drop the issue’s note on a Claude Code window, or pick the window from the note’s assign menu. Claude Code reads the issue with gh issue view and starts on the scope you chose. Codex, Cursor CLI and the other agents take issues the same way.

Does Starkomand write to my GitHub repositories?

No. It only reads: pull requests, review requests, issues, CI checks and contributions. Commits, comments and pull requests come from your agents, through their own tools and your own sign-in.

Do I need the GitHub CLI?

Not to connect: a pasted token is enough for the flight board and the issue notes. Agents read an assigned issue with gh, so install it and sign in before handing out work.

Can an agent file an issue on the canvas?

An agent can pin a note while it works, through the canvas tool pin_issue, for a bug it found but is not fixing. A note with a github.com issue link behaves like any other GitHub note; you decide who gets it.

Bring the agents you already pay for.

Every agent, every feature, free for 3 days. Your CLIs are already installed; the canvas takes a minute.
